Four young-adults have been arrested following their involvement in the kidnapping and torturing of a special needs man in Chicago.
Chicago P.D. reported that an acquaintance to the victim, Jordan Hill, picked him up in a stollen van at a local MacDonald’s and drove him 30 miles to the Westside of Chicago. There, three others helped Jordan attack the victim for up to 48-hours while live-streaming his imprisonment on Facebook.
In the disturbing live video, the attackers bound and gagged the victim while screaming anti-Trump slurs at him. More footage showed the teens cutting the victim’s hair until he bled then he was forced to drink from the toilet. All four kidnappers are heard laughing and spouting discriminating remarks while they kick the innocent man.
Police were called to the location after a neighbor complained about the noise. When officers arrived at the home, the victim was able to escape while his captures were distracted at the front door. A police unit later saw the injured man wondering down the street wearing bloodied and ripped clothing. Officers sensed that he was in distress and were able to take him to the hospital. He is currently with his family and recovering from the brutal ordeal.
CNN has reported that Jordan Hill, 18; Tesfaye Cooper; 18; Brittany Covington, 18; and Tanishia Covington, 24, have each been charged with a hate crime, felony aggravated kidnapping, aggravated unlawful restraint and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
